Prosecutors Recommend 10-Year Prison Sentence For Bulger's Girlfriend
BOSTON (CBS/AP) – Federal Prosecutors are recommending a 10-year sentence for Whitey Bulger's longtime girlfriend Catherine Greig.
Greig, who pleaded guilty, to one count of harboring a fugitive and two counts of identity fraud, is set to be sentenced on Tuesday.
The US Attorney's office recommended the 10-year sentence along with $125,000 fine and three years of parole.

In a sentencing memo filed in court Friday, prosecutors says 61-year-old Catherine Greig (grehg) deserves the long sentence — above federal sentencing guidelines — because of the length of time she harbored Bulger as a fugitive and the number of things she did to protect him.

Greig could face up to 5 years in prison followed by three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine for each of the three counts.
The 60-year-old Greig spent 16 years on the run with Bulger.
