Light snow will be falling through early afternoom before tapering off between 1-3pm.  Overall, a light accumulation of a dusting to 2" (3" spots) is expected.  The day will end with peeks of sunshine.  Highs will range from the upper 20s into the lower 30s.  Winds will be breezxy from the northwest.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

High pressure at the surface (shown in weather model pic below) and upper level ridging aloft will control the weather across Southern New England through Thursday. Highs will rebound from the upper 20s on Tuesday to the upper 30s on Wednesday to the lower 40s by Thursday.

12 hr MOS Data Plot

Friday's Storm:  The exact track of Friday's storm remains to be determined.  The GFSx shows a more easterly track depciting a rain/snow mix switching to snow while the EURO shows a warmer, more westerly track which would result in a rain event. I am following the GFSx's lead and going with a rain/snow mix to snow. With that being said, the actual snowfall amounts will be tricky depending on the exact track and timing of the rain/snow to snow changeover.
