Presidential Debate Moderators Announced
WASHINGTON (CBS) – We now know which journalists will moderate the televised presidential debates this fall between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
The Commission on Presidential Debates announced the lineup on Friday.
The first presidential debate on Sept. 26 at Hofstra University in New York will be moderated by NBC News' Lester Holt.
The second debate on Oct. 9 at Washington University in St. Louis is a town hall format. CNN's Anderson Cooper and ABC News' Martha Raddatz will ask questions, as will uncommitted voters.
Chris Wallace of Fox News will be the moderator for the third debate on Oct. 19 at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas.
The only vice presidential debate between Sen. Tim Kaine and Gov. Mike Pence will take place on Oct. 4 at Longwood University in Virginia. It will be moderated by CBSN's Elaine Quijano, who is the first anchor of a digital network to moderate a presidential debate.
