President Trump's Weekly Address: October 14, 2017
WASHINGTON (CBS) – President Donald Trump discussed NFL national anthem protests during his weekly address.
"Before watching a football game, you want to see those players be proud of their country," Trump said. "Respect our country. Respect our flag. And respect our national anthem and we think they will. We certainly hope they will."
Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont gave the Democratic Saturday address.
Sanders focused on Trump's tax plan, which he called "unfair."
