Postal Worker Shot In Boston
BOSTON (CBS) - Police are investigating the shooting of a postal delivery worker in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.
The worker was shot on Bailey Street at about 6:00 p.m. Friday night. Police say the worker was in the back of his truck sorting boxes when an armed man jumped in and began attacking him. The worker was shot in the wrist.
The gunman then got behind the wheel of the truck, and crashed into a snowbank down the street. He jumped out and ran away.
A spokesperson for the US Postal Inspection Service says the worker is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries and they are working with Boston Police.
No other information has been released.
