Portsmouth, NH Police Release Sketch Of Suspect In Kidnap Attempt

PORTSMOUTH, NH (CBS) - Police have released a sketch of a man who tried to kidnap a woman at gunpoint in the middle of the afternoon.

The man walked up to her in the parking lot and pulled a gun on her.

The victim managed to escape after a frightening 30 seconds.

Police say the victim did not know the suspect and they believe the attack was random.

Investigators provided surveillance video of the incident and a photo of the man's jacket, which he dropped while escaping.

The suspect is described as a black man around 20 years old, with a smooth round face, dressed in baggy clothes.

Officers are asking anyone with information to call.
