Popular Beverly Music Teacher Conducts His Final Concert
BEVERLY (CBS) - After 35 years, a beloved band director at Beverly High School conducts his final concert there.
Ray Novack is hanging up the baton after Thursday night's spring concert.
He says the time has come to retire.
"It's bittersweet. It's been 35 years of doing this. Knowing that this is one of the last times I'll be waving my arms in front of the kids is just really sentimental for me," Novack told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens.
Novack says for 35 years, there has never been a dull moment.
