Police: Worcester Stabbing Was Over Shoveled-Out Parking Space
WORCESTER (CBS) - A Millbury man is facing charges after police say he stabbed another man in a dispute over a shoveled-out parking spot.
Officers say 44-year-old Scott Langevin found a car parked in a spot on Mendon Street that he had shoveled out earlier Thursday evening.
Just before midnight, witnesses told police that Langevin started yelling at residents, knocked on doors to try and find the car owner and eventually began keying the car and kicking the bumper.
The owner came out and confronted him, which led to a physical altercation. Police say Langevin stabbed the other man in front of several witnesses.
A police dog later found Langevin hiding in a wooded area in Millbury.
He's charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, and Malicious Destruction of Property over $250.
