Police: Weymouth Bank Robbers Searched Internet For Tips On Robbery

WEYMOUTH, Mass. (CBS/AP) — Police say three people charged with playing a role in a Weymouth bank robbery did their research beforehand, using the Internet to search for tips on how to pull off a robbery and the consequences of getting caught.

Sarah McLoud, Robert Owens and Daniel Murphy were arraigned Tuesday on charges connected to Friday morning's robbery. McLoud and Owens also face drug charges.

Police tracked McLoud and Owens to an address near the bank and arrested them hours later. Murphy, the alleged getaway driver, was arrested at another location.

Investigators examined McLoud's computer and found searches for "if you're going to rob a bank" and "what happens if you rob a bank."

The suspects were held over the holiday weekend.
