Police Warn Residents After Third Black Bear Sighting In Weston
WESTON (CBS) - A black bear was spotted again in Weston on Tuesday morning.
A Weston police officer spotted the bear at around 7 a.m. off Route 30 on Ridgeway Road, along the Mass. Pike, according to Lt. John Lyons.
"The bear was coming in and out of the woods and was heading toward the Mass. toll booths at the Newton line when last sighted," said Lt. Lyons.
It's the third sighting of 150-pound bear, who was also spotted Monday off of Route 20, prompting the Weston police chief to issue an advisory telling people not to leave out any food and to secure their trash cans.
