Police Seize 21 Pounds of Marijuana, $50,000 From Natick Home

NATICK (CBS) - Two Natick men are being charged as drug dealers after police seized a huge shipment of marijuana that was mailed to their apartment.

Officers say they intercepted about 15 lbs. of marijuana in the mail. They found another 6 lbs inside and $50,000 in cash inside the apartment at 13 Spruce Lane.

Sixty-eight-year-old James J. Auerbach and 38-year-old Thomas Frank Barnes are both charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate the state's drug laws.

Auerbach is also charged with possession of hashish, illegal possession of a firearm without an Firearms Identification (F.I.D.) card, the illegal possession of ammunition without an F.I.D. card, improper storage of a firearm and violating firearm laws with two prior violent/drug offenses.

Auerbach's bail is $10,000. Barnes was released on $250 bail.
