Police Searching For Man Who Robbed Three Students At Becker College In Worcester
WORCESTER (CBS) - Becker College Police are out in force after three students were robbed at gunpoint early Saturday morning.
"The students were outside on city streets when a man with a semi-automatic approached them," Becker College Police Lt. Richard Menard said.
Police say the students were coming back from a function when they were approached by a black man, medium build, wearing a white "hoodie" sweatshirt.
All three students gave the suspect their wallets and the man took off down Cedar Street.
"I never see anything like that happen. I try not to be out late at night," student Arturo Nito told WBZ-TV's Paul Burton.
Student Taylor Dufult says she always tries to park close to campus.
"As a student I walk these streets so it makes me nervous, but it also makes me more cautious," student Katelyn Burns said.
Campus police sent out an e-mail warning students and faculty. Menard recommended students use the college's safety escort patrol, available 24 hours a day. Worcester Police are also investigating the incident.
