Police Search Home Of Lunenburg Football Player In Racist Graffiti Probe
LUNENBURG (CBS) --- Parents of football players met with Lunenburg Police Tuesday to discuss moving forward after the team was cleared in a racial graffiti case targeting one of the team's players.
Lunenburg police announced Monday that there is no conclusive evidence that anyone on the high school football team is linked to the graffiti sprayed on the home of 13-year-old Lunenburg High School football player Isaac Phillips last month.
In a statement obtained by WBZ-TV, police said they are "very confident" that a conclusion to the mystery is near. So far, no arrests have been made.
Tuesday, police cruisers arrived at Phillips' home but officers would not say what they were there for.
A 'no trespassing' sign was posted outside the home - a sharp change for parents Anthony Phillips and Andrea Brazier, who were outspoken after the graffiti was discovered.
Anthony Phillips was later seen outside the home as investigators were inside but would not comment.
