Police Say Violent Bedford, NH Home Invasion Suspect Could Strike Again
BEDFORD, NH (CBS) - Six days after a mysterious intruder at a luxury home attacked anesthesiologist Eduado Quesada and his wife Sonia, police in Bedford, NH said Friday that the suspect is still on the loose, and he could strike again.
At a news conference, officials also revealed a few more details about the attacker.
"A male subject, approximately 6 feet tall or taller, wearing a black ski mask and dark clothes," said Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski.
It is a vague description, but that is all police say they have right now. Police say the information comes from the victims and forensic evidence left at the crime scene.
On Proclamation Court where the Quesadas live, next-door neighbor Jody Nine says she will take extra precautions after hearing of the violent attack.
"It's hard to believe, but it's possible," said Nine. "You read about these things. You just don't think they happen next door to you."
Police will not reveal if anything was taken from the home, if there were any signs of a break-in, or what kind of evidence has been recovered. They have not let on whether they know what the attacker's motive may have been.
Investigators are warning people to be vigilant.
"It's important for everyone to recognize there's a distinct possibility that there is an individual in the community that may strike again," said Bryfonski.
