Police: Road Rage Leads To Stabbing In Tewksbury
TEWKSBURY (CBS) -- Police in Tewksbury are searching for the person who stabbed a driver after a road rage incident.
Authorities say the incident happened around 3 p.m. on Industrial Avenue off of East Street. Lt. Ryan Columbus, of Tewksbury Police, said the incident started on I-93 North.
Glenn Gullotti was 26-year-old Dennis Keohane's passenger. Gullotti said a younger driver was tailgating them on the highway and when they got off the highway the suspect pulled up next to them and swore at them through the window and "going crazy."
Gullotti said Keohane dropped him off at work in the industrial park and drove off. Apparently the suspect was laying in wait just down the road.
WBZ-TV's Ken MacLeod reports.
"I thought it was all done. Then five minutes later Dennis came back, blood all over him, and said he had been stabbed," Gullotti said.
Keohane was stabbed multiple times in the back and neck, but officials say his injuries are not life threatening. He was taken to Lahey Clinic to be treated. He was released later Wednesday night.
There were no witnesses to the incident and police are looking for a dark, late model Honda Civic.
