Police: OUI Driver Clocked At 126 MPH In New Hampton, NH
NEW HAMPTON, NH (CBS) - A 51-year-old man from Lowell is facing a number of charges after police say he was drunk and was clocked on radar driving 126 mph.
Alan Baillargerion was pulled over on I-93 northbound in New Hampton, New Hampshire on Thursday night around 11 p.m. The speed limit on that stretch of road is 65 mph.
State Police say after failing a field sobriety test, Baillargerion registered a .16 blood alcohol level on a chemical test, which is twice the legal limit.
Troopers also say they found marijuana and had two open containers of alcoholic beverages inside the 2006 Mercedes E350W sedan that Baillargerion was driving.
He was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, transportation of drugs and transportation of alcohol.
