Police Officer Struck By Construction Vehicle In Danvers
DANVERS (CBS) - A detail officer was injured by a construction vehicle in Danvers on Wednesday morning.
A truck driven by Frank Gomez of Plymouth hit 41-year-old Robert Corliss of the Boxford Police Department at a construction zone near High Street and Route 128.
Gomez was backed up and backed over Corliss, who was working a detail on behalf of the state. He suffered a significant injury to his leg.
Police said the injuries are not life threatening.
The truck belongs to Lidell Corporation out of Halifax.
So far, no charges or citations have been issued.
