Police Officer Injured In Worcester 3-Car Crash
WORCESTER (CBS) -- A police officer was rushed to the hospital with a serious eye injury after a car crash at the intersection of Grove and Chester Street in Worcester. The jaws of life were used to get the officer out, police said.
Three cars appear to be involved. According to police, the other two drivers were taken to hospitals as a precaution.
Parts of the roads were blocked off as police investigated.
Preliminary investigations show a car hit the officer's cruiser as he drove south on Grove Street. That pushed the cruiser into oncoming traffic and another car hit the cruiser's driver side, police said.
