NH Man Accused Of Firing Pellet Gun At School Bus Over Students' Obscene Gesture

SANBORNTON, NH (CBS) – A 24-year-old New Hampshire man is accused of opening fire on a school bus with a pellet gun.

Police say Tarance Piper, of Sanbornton, NH, shot at the bus carrying students from the Winnisquam Regional School District on Wednesday afternoon.

Piper told officers that some students on the bus had directed obscene gestures at him.

Piper was charged with two counts of Reckless Conduct and two counts of Criminal Threatening.

He has a court date scheduled for November 7.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and that additional charges are possible.
