Police: Motorcyclist Rear-Ends Cruiser, Hits Trooper Fleeing Scene On Rte. 1
EVERETT (CBS) - A 24-year old Revere man is facing several charges after allegedly rear-ending a State police cruiser with his motorcycle, and then taking off from the scene early Sunday morning.
Police said Jorge Palma was riding a motorcycle when he hit the back of the cruiser on Route 1 just after midnight.
Both vehicles pulled over, but as the trooper was walking toward him, police said Palma took off and hit the trooper as he left.
Palma later crashed again in Everett.
He was taken to Mass. General Hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to recover.
The trooper was not seriously hurt.
