Police Make Arrests In Boston Common Robberies
BOSTON (CBS) - Police said the Boston Common area is safer now that two young men are under arrest in connection with a string of robberies.
Boston Police nabbed the suspects Wednesday night when a teen told two officers that he had just been robbed.
Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis and his fellow officers Paul Sanders and Robert Dirienzo addressed the media about the arrests on Thursday.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Bernice Corpuz reports.

"And I said, 'Did he have any weapons?' He said, 'Yes, he had a knife.' We just observed the suspects running," said Officer Sanders.
"Right up at the monument, right up on the hill there. They ran down from the hill to the train station across from McDonald's," said Officer Dirienzo.
The veteran officers caught up with the 18- and 20-year-old suspects in the Park Street T Station. One of the suspects allegedly struggled with officers, while the other surrendered peacefully.
Police said the suspects may have been involved in at least 11 armed robberies in the city, with most of those in the Boston Common area. They may also be linked to similar crimes in Cambridge.
