Police Looking For Suspect In Connection To Blue Line Shooting
BOSTON (CBS) -- Police are searching for an East Boston man in connection to last week's double shooting at the Maverick Square MBTA Blue Line station.
Boston Police said Rogelio Alvarado, 21, should be considered armed and dangerous. They executed a search warrant on a White Street property Monday in the search for Alvarado.
Alvarado is wanted for armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and multiple firearm violations.
The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. last Tuesday. Police said an argument broke out on one of the trains, when one of the men involved pulled out a gun and shot one of the victims, who was standing at the door of the train about to exit. The argument spilled out onto the platform, where a second man was shot. The shooter fled the scene.
The victims were two men, ages 29 and 43. They were rushed to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone with information on Alvarado's location is asked to contact MBTA Transit Police.
