Police Ask For Public's Help In UNH Stabbing
DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — Police are investigating an assault in which one University of New Hampshire student was stabbed in the torso and another was hit over the head with a blunt object during an early-morning brawl.
Police said the assault took place about 1:30 a.m. Saturday during a fight involving multiple people on Strafford Avenue on the edge of the UNH campus in Durham.
In a statement, the University of New Hampshire and Durham police departments said the victims have been identified as UNH students, but their identities are being withheld until their families are notified. Police did not release the extent of their injuries.
