Police Arrest Level 3 Sex Offender In Connection With Beacon Hill Assault
BOSTON (CBS) - Police have arrested an unregistered Level Three sex offender in connection with an assault on Beacon Hill earlier this month.
Boston Police arrested Anthony G. Williams, 45, of Boston and charged him with receiving stolen property and rape.
Williams is expected to be arraigned Wednesday in Boston Municipal Court.
According to the State Sex Offender Registry, Williams was previously convicted of rape in 1998.
At 3:15 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, police responded to a call for a sexual assault in the area of Joy and Myrtle streets.
Police believe it was Williams who forced his way into the woman's apartment, displayed a weapon, robbed her and sexually assaulted her.
