Police Arrest 32, Seize Machine Gun In Brockton Raids
BROCKTON (CBS) - For the second time in the past six months, federal and local authorities conduct a major sweep through Brockton. Friday's raids led to 32 arrests on gun and drug trafficking charges.
Brockton Police and A.T.F. agents were both involved in the day-long raid of 26 homes.

U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz called it a success, noting they took 47 weapons off the Brockton streets, including a fully-automatic machine gun.
The raids are a result of a year-long investigation. Plymouth D.A. Tim Cruz says they are doing more work with federal authorities in cleaning up the Brockton area.
A.T.F. Agent Guy Morris told reporters they moved their operation to the Brockton area to help clean up the illegal gun trade.
