Plus/Minus: Soderberg, Bergeron End Scoring Droughts & Lift Bruins To 3-2 OT Win
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Bruins sit one point ahead of the Florida Panthers and Washington Capitals for the second Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference following their 3-2 overtime win over the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday night.
The B's earned a much-needed two points, and now sit 16-13-3 on the season. Their three-game road trip wraps up Friday night in Winnipeg.
After the win, 98.5 The Sports Hub's Adam Jones spoke with play-by-play man Dave Goucher and color analyst Bob Beers of the Bruins Radio Network to break it all down.

After chatting with Dave Goucher and Bob Beers, Jones gave his three highlights and lowlights from the game in a segment he calls Plus/Minus.
Plus
Carl Soderberg & Patrice Bergeron
"These are two Bruins who ended long scoring droughts and got the B's out to a 2-1 lead at the end of the first period. That goal by Bergeron was a real softy allowed by Niklas Backstrom, but it was a great first period for the B's -- aside from the overtime it was probably their best period. Soderberg hadn't scored since November 10th -- that's 16 games! Less than 30 seconds later it was a 1-1 game, but towards the end of the first Bergeron knuckled one home past Backstrom, which was his first goal in the last 12 games."
Niklas Svedberg
"I thought the man in net was excellent for the Bruins tonight, especially in the second period when he turned away all 20, that's right, all 20 shots that he faced. Thirty five saves in total on 37 shots."
Loui Eriksson
"Also a plus tonight was the man who sent the Bruins home with two points and a 3-2 win. Eriksson's game winner in overtime was his sixth goal of the year and it came at the 1:30 mark."
Minus
Gregory Campbell
"Campbell struggled a lot Tuesday night in Nashville, and he wasn't a heck of a lot better tonight in Minnesota. He had a defensive zone faceoff loss that led to the first goal for Minnesota. Campbell was a minus-one and he played just 7:30 minutes of ice time. He also lost a fight. Rough night for him."
David Krejci
"It was great to have him back in the lineup, but it wasn't his best night in the faceoff circle, and especially on the second goal of the night for Minnesota where neither he or Zach Trotman could clear the zone. Krejci had just one shot, was a minus-one and won just two of the thirteen draws he took. It was great to have him back in the lineup, but we're gonna need better than that."
Dougie Hamilton
"Holy moly. On the [Mikael Granlund odd-man rush], Hamilton just bit the ice. He tried to do some kind of toe curl or something like that in the offensive zone, he fell down and it led to an odd-man rush going the other way -- not a banner performance out of Dougie Hamilton tonight either."
