Plus/Minus: Blues Beat Bruins 3-2 In Shootout

BOSTON (CBS) - Adam Jones connected with Dave Goucher and Bob Beers of the Boston Bruins Radio Network after a tough shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues Thursday night at the TD Garden.

Even though they didn't come away with the win, Dave Goucher was impressed with one Bruin in particular.

"The fourth line cashed in again. [Carl] Soderberg, I thought he was the best Bruin on the ice. He was terrific tonight," said Goucher."

Late in the second period, Soderberg received the puck in the slot from Reilly Smith and beat Jaroslav Halak, evening the game at 2-2. A scoreless third period and overtime led to a shootout, where the Bruins wound up losing by a score of 3-2.

Adam Jones weighed in and highlighted the three best and three worst storylines following the game in a new segment called 'Plus/Minus'.

Pluses:

- Gregory Campbell, who scored his first goal of the season in the first period.

- The aforementioned Carl Soderberg, who some felt was the best player for the Bruins tonight.

- Kevin Miller, who made his NHL debut after getting called up from Providence, whose effort led to the Soderberg goal.

Minuses:

- Tuukka Rask's goal allowed to Derek Roy in the first period, one of the "softer" goals he's ever given up.

- Losing a defensive zone face-off. David Krejci got kicked out of the face-off circle, and Milan Lucic had to step in. He lost the face-off and it led to a goal late in the second period.

- Whining about the shootout. Is it a new thing? Is it that outrageous?
