Pleasant Day Ahead

We will have a mixture of sun and clouds today. Due to the air aloft/weak front, there will be a very slim chance of an afternoon shower for interior neighborhoods. However, we can plan for a dry day with highs in the lower 80s...70s coast. It's less humid today as well as dewpoints have dropped back into the 60s.

Once again on Friday, a weak frontal boundary will provide the slightest chance of an isolated shower/storms.  Overall, we can once again plan for a mainly dry day with partly cloudy skies and a south wind. Highs will be in the middle 80s...cooler for the South Coast/Cape/Islands.  Humidity will start to rise again on Friday night.

Saturday will be cloudier as the day progresses with a chance of a few pre-frontal showers as early as Saturday evening.  Highs will be in the lower and middle 80s. Dewpoints will be near 70F again.

A cold front will move through Saturday night through midday Sunday.  Showers, storms, and heavy downpours will be around during this time period. This cold front will wash away the humidity and 80F degree temperatures.  Sunday will end with sunshine and highs in the 70s.

The beginning of next week will be sunshiny in combination with lower humidity and cooler temps in the 70s.

Tropical Update:  Hurricane Leslie, the 6th hurricane this season, will stay offshore and make its closest pass Sunday-Monday. This will create higher seas and rip currents. Be careful is beac plans are in your near future.  Hurricane Michael is the strongest hurricane so far this season as a category 3.  Thankfully, its poses no threat to the U.S..
