Pietrus Could Return For Playoffs
BOSTON (CBS) -- The Celtics are on a roll, winners of nine of their last 12 heading into Tuesday night's contest in Miami. And they may be getting a big addition in time for the playoffs.
Coach Doc Rivers told reporters Tuesday that Mickael Pietrus, out since April 8 with a concussion, could return in time for the postseason.
"He sounds like sooner than later," Rivers said, according to CSNNE's A. Sherrod Blakely. "He's been running with no effects, which I think is real important," Rivers said. "So that's a great sign for us."
Pietrus has been seen around the team, and he passed a baseline concussion test over the weekend. He suffered the injury against the 76ers when he fell backward and appeared to suffer whiplash. He was taken off the court on a stretcher.
The Celtics' regular season ends on April 26.
