Phantom Gourmet: Prime Rib
BOSTON (CBS) - At the Boston Tavern in West Bridgewater, they serve us big portions of barbecue and platters of fried seafood. But the biggest eaters, and the biggest Patriots fans, come for the prime rib.
Boston Tavern features four different sized cuts, all named after Patriots players. The 12-ounce is the Welker, the 16-ounce is the Brady, the 20-ounce is the Gronk, and the 24-ounce is the Wilfork.
Hancock's Steak and Seafood at the Marriott Hotel in Quincy offers an all-you-can-eat experiences exclusively for carnivores.
They feature prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights from 6 to 9:30 p.m.
The New England Steak and Seafood in Mendon may be the most famous prime rib spot in Massachusetts, because it is always slow-roasted, sliced to order, and smothered in real pan juices.
And if you prefer your beef a little more well done, and more heavily seasoned, you should ask for the "end cut."
