With locations in Foxborough, Lexington, and Keene, New Hampshire, Waxy O'Connor's serves authentic Irish food, like beer battered Irish bangers and chunky Guinness beef stew that is slow cooked for hours so that beef just breaks apart.
At the Tinker's Son in Norwell, chef-owner Brian Houlihan cooks up the favorite foods of his homeland, like traditional shepherd's pie served in a cast iron skillet topped with melted cheddar, and hearty Irish lamb stew.
The Raven's Nest in Walpole is a more contemporary kind of Irish pub.
And one of the most famous Irish pubs in Boston, The Black Rose celebrates its 35th anniversary this week.
