Pet Parade: MSPCA Cape Cod Adoption Center

BOSTON (CBS) -- Two kittens, a dog, and a rabbit up for adoption from the MSPCA Cape Cod Adoption Center were featured on the Pet Parade Sunday.

Duckie and Sara are two-month-old kittens who have been in a foster home for the last six weeks. They are bonded sisters, and so MSPCA would like them to go together to a forever home!

Basil is a neutered, 1-year-old rabbit. He was found outside--MSPCA thinks a previous owner let him go. He's very relaxed, and would be fine in any kind of home--even with kids.

Brittney from the MSPCA said there are some common misconceptions about rabbit ownership.

"The most important thing is that they need a lot of time outside of the cage," Brittney said. "They require fresh hay, fresh vegetables every day--and they can be litter box trained."

Oreo is an eight-month-old Pomeranian puppy. He's a cuddly little guy, and he has a lot of energy to burn--so he'd do best in a home with a fenced-in yard. He may need some help with his house training when he gets to a new home!

On June 8, MSPCA Cape Cod is having an event with Cape Cod Beer called Pints For Paws. There will be raffles and prizes, and tickets are available at MSPCA.org/events/pints-paws.
