Pet Parade: Dogs Rescued From Taunton Basement Up For Adoption
BOSTON (CBS) -- Two of three dogs rescued after living in a basement for years are looking for a new home.
The dogs were recently brought to the MSPCA animal shelter in Centerville in a plastic tub after spending six years in the Taunton basement, leading to significant health issues. Their owner claimed to have "no time" for the dogs, according to the MSPCA.
Chibby the Miniature Pinscher has been adopted, but Spike and Buddy still need homes, and were featured on WBZ-TV's Pet Parade Sunday morning.
Spike is a 10-year-old Rat Terrier who is undergoing treatment for Lyme Disease and heartworms.
Buddy is a 10-year-old Dachshund who had to have all of his teeth extracted. He is very friendly.
A fundraising page has been set up by the MSPCA to help offset the cost of treatment.
Also up for adoption is Britney the 8-week-old kitten, who is very social.
