Person Struck By MBTA Train In Lynn
BOSTON (CBS) – Passengers were forced off a commuter train in Lynn early Monday morning after a person was hit on the tracks.
MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo told WBZ-TV "a railroad trespasser was struck by an inbound train west of Lynn Station shortly after 6:00 a.m."
Transit Police said the person was killed.
A white sheet covered the body at the scene.
There were significant delays on the Newburyport-Rockport line.
Bus shuttle service was brought in between the Salem and Lynn stations.
Train service resumed around 7:45 a.m.
