Back Bay Neighbors Warned About Peeping Tom
BOSTON (CBS) -- Boston Police say they are stepping up patrols in the Back Bay after several reports of a man looking into people's windows.
A resident who claims to have caught the peeping tom in action posted flyers throughout the neighborhood, warning people to be vigilant and be on the lookout for the man.
That concerned citizen said they recently spotted the peeping tom in a neighbor's Marlborough Street yard, and said they caught the same man in the act again two weeks later.
The thought of a stranger peering into windows has some people on high alert.
"It's pretty disgusting," one woman told WBZ-TV's Anna Meiler Thursday morning. "I just hope they can figure out who it is, and get him some help."
The man who posted the flyers told WBZ the peeper was a man in his 40s with salt-and-pepper hair, who was driving a white Ford pickup truck.
The neighborhood watch poster also warns about a recent mugging on the same street. It says a woman was robbed and roughed up while walking her dog around 11 p.m.
"I certainly am trying not to go out late by myself," another resident said.
Boston Police said they have extra resources dedicated to finding the peeping tom. They said they have had a few tips but no leads.
They are asking anyone with information to contact them.
