Pedroia On Sweep: 'We're All Frustrated'
BOSTON (CBS) - For a team that talked about winning 100 games this season, an 0-3 start is not the way the Red Sox pictured their 2011 campaign starting off.
"I think we're all frustrated and we got outplayed," Second baseman Dustin Pedroia told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Jonny Miller after Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Texas Rangers. "It's not for lack of talent on our team. We got out-pitched, out-hit, they played better defense than us. They kicked out ass, that's it. We better show up and play better whatever day we play again."
"We're going to have to play a lot better than that to accomplish what we want to do," Pedroia added.
"(We) didn't get any wins, it's not a good way to start the season," third baseman Kevin Youkilis said, who went two for nine in the series with an RBI. "It's not the end of the year and we have a lot of games to go. We can bounce back on Tuesday."

The Red Sox start a three-game series in Cleveland against the 1-2 Indians on Tuesday. Cleveland won their first game of the season Sunday 7-1 against the Chicago White Sox off seven innings of one-run ball from former Red Sox pitcher Justin Masterson.
"We can definitely play a lot better but there's going to be games where that's going to happen," Youkilis said of the three-game sweep at the hands of the Rangers. "It's part of baseball. As much as you go on a three-game losing streak you can go on a three-game win streak. This team can roll out a bunch of wins, we just have to play better. Hopefully it starts in Cleveland."
"We're not very happy with the series, that's an understatement," Manager Terry Francona said of his first 0-3 start with Boston. "I think there's a difference between being aggravated at a series than sitting around panicking. We didn't play a very good series, we got out-played all the way around. They hit better than us, they pitched better than us. Now we have to go and regroup and try to get us a win so we feel better about ourselves."

"I think everybody's a little bit shocked, but we have a lot of games left," Sunday's starter Clay Buchholz said. "There's a lot of room to improve. I wouldn't read too deep into it. We go to Cleveland for another 3 games and then we go home. I'm sure everyone will feel better when we get off the plane."
"Still got 159 (games)," first baseman Adrian Gonzalez said. "I'm fully confident that come September we'll either be in first place or in the middle of everything."
