Peabody Police: Man Altered Fingerprints, Had Sophisticated Drug Hide

PEABODY (CBS) --- A man from Brooklyn New York was arrested Saturday following an investigation of drug sales downtown Peabody.

Police say the unnamed man was found with cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin all individually packaged for sale. Police also seized $1,300 in cash and a 2005 Lexus.

Inside that Lexus, police say they found a "clandestine sophisticated drug hide within the radio in the dash."

The hide was found by an Everett Police canine officer and his drug dog.

Police say the man gave police a false name and fraudulent New York license.

He also partially altered his fingerprints to avoid detection and identification, according to Peabody Police.

The man is being held pending arraignment Monday.
