Pats Get TE, 2 Gators' LBs, WR
It was a productive second night of the NFL Draft for the Patriots Friday. New England traded four times and selected four players over the second and third rounds.
The Patriots traded up two spots to number 42, where they selected tight end Rob Gronkowski from Arizona.
Later, they traded down from number 47 to number 58, adding an extra third round pick from the Cardinals.
With the 53rd pick, New England took Florida DL/OLB Jermaine Cunningham.
The Patriots then traded down again, moving from number 58 to 62 to pick up a fifth rounder from Houston.
In the third round, the Patriots took another Gator, inside linebacker Brandon Spikes, at number 62 overall.
New England also traded their pick at number 89 to Carolina for a 2011 second round pick. They wrapped up their third round by choosing Ohio wide receiver Taylor Price at number 90.
On Saturday, the Patriots have 8 picks, including one each in the fourth, fifth and sixth rounds, and five picks in the seventh round.
