Gronkowski, Welker Named To All-Pro First Team

BOSTON (CBS)  - New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Wes Welker enjoyed great seasons in 2011, and both are getting recognized for it.

Gronkowski and Welker were two of 12 AFC players named to the Associated Press All-Pro First Team on Friday.

Gronkowski had a record season, setting new tight end a records with his 17 receiving touchdowns and 1,327 receiving yards in 2011.

Welker finished the season with an NFL-high 122 receptions and a career-high 1,569 yards to go with his nine touchdowns.

Guard Logan Mankins and nose tackle Vince Wilfork were both named to the All-Pro Second Team.

Lions receiver Calvin Johnson and Vikings defensive end Jared Allen were the leading vote getters for the All-Pro first team.
