Patriots' Wilfork Looking Towards Rest, Sights In London
BOSTON (CBS) - Vince Wilfork and the rest of the New England Patriots arrived in London, England early Friday morning following their red-eye flight after Thursday's practice.
It was 9 a.m. local time when they arrived at the Grosvenor House Hotel, making it 4 a.m. back home.
"Trust me I know. My body knows too," nose tackle Vince Wilfork said from overseas, still adjusting from the trip and time difference.
Overall, Wilfork said the Patriots overseas flight wasn't all that bad, and thanks to the beds on board, was able to catch a few hours of sleep.

But those bonus Z's will fade quickly, leading to an interesting next day or two for Wilfork and his team.
"Right now I'm pretty tired. It will probably take a day or so," he said of getting adjusted to the time difference. "We just have to get some rest. That's the biggest thing right now is being able to go out, come in and get settled, get our meetings over and get off our feet and rest a little bit… I'm sure a lot of people are tired, but it's Friday, so we basically have two days to recoup. Those are big days for us."

"There is no doubt in my mind we'll be ready to go on Sunday," added Wilfork. "It's just one of those little mind-boggling things; you don't like how you feel right now, but you have two days. We're going to take advantage of those two days."
The Patriots will not practice on Friday, with head coach Bill Belichick giving his players a day to get acclimated. The Patriots held their three practices of the week from Tuesday to Thursday back home, so they felt very confident when boarding a plane Thursday night.
"We did everything we wanted to do," said Wilfork. "We wanted to get our practices over with in the states, and I think we did. We had three good days of practice there, and out here we have today and tomorrow – an extra day – to go through what we need to."
With their work mostly done on the practice field, Wilfork said he looks forward to getting out and enjoying the sights of London. He enjoyed it the first time around when the Patriots made the trip in 2009, but knows there is plenty to see.

And he'll let his taxi driver decide where to go.
"I don't care where I go; I tell the taxi to take me somewhere good," said Wilfork. "Last time we saw a lot of the bridges, the clock, the palaces. This time I'll tell him to take me to something fun and we'll see what he comes up with."

"We came over here to win, but at the same time being in a different country – this place has a lot of history. If you can get out and do a little touring, that's fine," he said. "You just can't lock yourself up; I'm not like that. Get out, walk around and see the city a little bit, and still be ready to go on Sunday."
"It was a great adventure the first time around, so I'm looking forward to it again this time around."
