Welker Misses Practice With Neck Injury
FOXBORO (CBS) - Patriots receiver Wes Welker was absent from Wednesday's practice session with what was listed as a neck injury.
Late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 25-17 loss to the Steelers, Welker was tackled awkwardly by safety Troy Polamalu. As he was being brought to the ground, Welker's head twisted sideways. The Pats receiver was slow to get up but reamained in the game.
Welker's 57 receptions are tops in the NFL this season, with his 824 yards ranking second. He had just six receptions for 36 yards in Sunday's loss.
