Patriots Tweet, Delete Photo Of Infamous Butt Fumble
BOSTON (CBS) -- You won't hear a peep out of the locker room at Gillette Stadium this week in terms of trash talk as the Patriots prepare for Sunday's game against the Jets.
But the coach and players don't control the team's Twitter account, and so, on Thursday morning, there was this:
It was a harmless enough tweet -- honestly, who doesn't love a good Butt Fumble picture? -- and it quickly made its way around the web with a whole lot of retweets and, surely, a whole lot of laughs.
But someone at 1 Patriot Place was apparently not amused, as the Twitter account deleted the tweet.
As innocent as a little bit of Butt Fumble fun may have seemed, it clearly caught the attention of a decision-maker in Foxboro, and so it came down.
The Patriots do have a photo gallery on their website, sharing memorable moments from the Jets-Patriots rivalry. That gallery does not include a Butt Fumble photo, which is frankly unforgivable.
The people need their Butt Fumble photos! So if the Patriots won't oblige, we can provide that service right here.
That's more like it!
