Patriots Training Camp Blog: Gronk Returns
FOXBORO (CBS) - New England Patriots second year tight end Rob Gronkowski has been the best talent in camp, and folks, this is not even close. So far he has been un-coverable.
Well on Monday, he had a collision with offensive lineman Dan Connolly and on Tuesday, they both missed practice.
Rest assure though, Gronk was back out there when the Patriots took the field for their practice/walk-through on Wednesday. Gronkowski was a huge part of the Patriots offense his rookie season, hauling in 10 touchdowns.
Camp Blog: Thoughts From Belichick
In Gronk's absence on Tuesday, Aaron Hernandez and Lee Smith took his snaps and stepped it up. Hernandez is having a good camp as well, and Smith has been a pleasant surprise. Smith will probably take over the blocking tight end spot, a position recently vacated when the Pats cut Alge Crumpler.
One notable absence from Wednesday, Chad Ochocinco was not on the field. He may just be searching for his new roommate.
Update: Ochocino arrived late to practice.
