The Pope Or Belichick? Brady Says 'In Bill We Trust'
BOSTON (CBS) -- Many Patriots fans put Bill Belichick right up there with many righteous figures, including the Pope.
His quarterback even takes it a step further.
The big story around the country right now is Pope Francis making his first visit to the United States, with his holiness visiting the White House on Wednesday. Brady previously met Pope John Paul II during a European trip earlier in his career, and was asked his thoughts on Pope Francis' visit during Wednesday's media session at Gillette Stadium.
"It's pretty cool. I saw some TV coverage," Brady said, adding there should be an increase in traffic for the cities the Pope is visiting.
That's when WBZ-TV's Dan Roche decided to have a little fun with Saint Brady.
"Do you rank Bill or the Pope higher?" Roche asked.
Brady smiled and casually answered with a phrase that some Patriots fans always practice, even when the "Church Of Belichick" lets out every Sunday.
"In Bill we trust," Brady replied with a chuckle. "Are you kidding me?"
We guess when it comes down to it, Brady prefers the hoodie over the robe.
