Patriots To Hold Joint Practices With Redskins During Preseason
BOSTON (CBS) -- The New England Patriots will once again hold joint practices with a preseason opponent this year.
The team announced Monday that they will conduct three joint training camp practices with the Washington Redskins at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center in Richmond, Virginia. They will be held from Monday, August 4-6, and lead up to the two team's 2014 preseason debut on Thursday, August 7 at FedEx Field.
The times and details for each session will be announced at a later date. All of the practice sessions will be free and open to the public.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has said in the past that he enjoys these joint sessions because they raise the level of competition in camp. The Patriots held a pair of joint practices last season, with the Eagles in Philadelphia and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Foxboro, and also held joint practices with the New Orleans Saints in both 2010 and 2012.
