Patriots Sign Defensive Back Nate Jones
BOSTON (CBS) - The New England Patriots have signed defensive back Nate Jones to add some more depth to their secondary.
Jones, in his eighth NFL season, has played with Dallas, Miami and Denver. He was originally a seventh-round pick out of Rutgers by the Cowboys in 2004.

Jones, 5-10, 185 pounds, has played in 101 games with 10 starts and has 163 total tackles, 6.0 sacks, and three career interceptions. He also has 59 tackles on special teams. Jones has played in three postseason games, two with Dallas and one with Miami.
Jones gives the Patriots a fourth defensive back after the team released Phillip Adams on Tuesday. They have been hurting at defensive back for the last month, with Devin McCourty missing the last two games with a shoulder injury. Antwaun Molden left Sunday's 38-20 win over the Eagles with an undisclosed injury, leaving New England with rookie safety Sterling Moore and receiver Julian Edelman getting snaps at corner.
