Patriots Second Quarter Highs And Lows
BOSTON (CBS) – WBZ-TV's Levan Reid is breaking down the New England Patriots second preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarter-by-quarter. Here are the highs and lows from the second quarter.
The Highs:
Tampa gets the ball first in the quarter and the Pats defense just domniates. Veteran defensive end Mark Anderson comes up with a big sack. The Buccaneers did not come to play.
The Pats defense remains strong with another three and out forced on the Bucs. Tampa's offense has less than 50 yards at this point...

This is almost comical. Pats run all but once on a nine-play drive, capped off with a BenJarvus Green-Ellis score. Benny ran the ball five times on the drive (seven if you count a couple plays called back by penalties) for 21 yards. The Patriots offense is hard to stop tonight.
The Lows:
A lot of heat on Brady on the Pats first possession of the second quarter. There were players around his feet and the protection looked soft. Brady was not happy when he was walking off.
Safety Bret Lockett hurt his groin/leg on a special teams play and had to be carted off.

Final possession of the second quarter for the Pats and they finally have to punt. The Pats offense had a hard time moving in a 2 minute drill.
