BOSTON (CBS) -WBZ-TV's Levan Reid is bringing you all the in-game analysis from the New England Patriots preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Highs:
- The Pats have the ball to start the quarter and they score a touchdown. Hoyer to Taylor Price on a touchdown strike. Price made a great toe tapping, fingers catch.
- Fletcher continues to have a good game. Big stop on 3rd and 2. He's the best defensive player on the field so far.
- Pats hit a deep ball, Brian Hoyer to Matthew Slater for 43 yards and that led to a 46 yard field goal by Stephen Gostkowski. Good to see his leg is still very strong.
- Pats went to the hurry up offense to end the half, Hoyer and the second team was able to move the ball, Stephen Gostkowski finished the drive and the half with a 43 yard field.
The Lows:
- The Patriots missed the extra point on the touchdown. A bad snap.
- More special teams mess, on the kickoff, the Jaguars returned the ball 84 yards to the Patriots 18 yard line.
- More special teams miscues, the Pats were called for a neutral zone infraction on a punt. It gave the Jaguars a first down.
