Patriots Release Dan Gronkowski
BOSTON (CBS) - Even with Aaron Hernandez out Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, the New England Patriots released tight end Dan Gronkowski on Friday.
Dan, the brother of Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski , was signed by the Patriots on September 7 and played in the first two games for the Patriots. He did not register any numbers in his two games with New England.

The Patriots now only have one healthy tight end for Sunday's game in Buffalo.
