Patriots Preseason Opponents Announced
BOSTON (CBS) - The New England Patriots' 2012 preseason opponents were announced on Wednesday, with the Patriots tuning up against four NFC teams.
The Patriots will take on the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles at home, with road games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants.
The Patriots will open the preseason at Gillette Stadium against the Saints, followed by a nationally televised Monday Night Football matchup with the Eagles on August 20 at 8pm.

The Monday Night Football game will be the first in the preseason for the Patriots since 2000, when they opened against the San Francisco 49ers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio.
The Patriots will play their final two preseason games on the road, traveling to Tampa Bay for the second straight year in Week 3, followed by a rematch of Super Bowl XLVI against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.

The Patriots and Giants will play each other in the preseason finale for the eighth straight season.
The dates and times of New England's games against New Orleans, Tampa Bay and the New York Giants will be announced at a later date.
